Project Feature: Cyberworx – U.S. Air Force Innovation Center

Sentech’s latest project feature is the Cyberworx – U.S. Air Force Academy’s Madera Cyber Innovation Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. At the heart of the U.S. Air Force Academy’s expanding campus, the newly completed center stands as a symbol of cutting-edge design, collaboration, and transparency. Designed to foster creativity and innovation, it houses USAFA’s Department of Computer & Cyber Sciences, Air Force CyberWorx, the Institute of Future Conflict, and related programs (e.g., cyber engineering, cyber law, cyber forensics).

Designed by AECOM, the Madera Cyber Innovation Center features a striking structural glass façade that was engineered, manufactured, and supplied by Sentech Architectural Systems. The façade is comprised of four structural glass walls – two soaring, 30-ft high walls stretch down the 206-ft long East and West facade walls and two 100-ft long front and rear façades are 30-ft and 23-ft high walls, respectively, all featuring Sentech’s VetraFin-A Series system. This system was chosen for its sleek, minimalist aesthetic and advanced performance capabilities, while the design of the building as a whole complied with the State Historic Preservation Office to ensure compliance and respect for the surrounding historical context.
