200 4th Avenue South

Horizontal Fin Facade | Nashville, TN

Overview

Elegant, seamless and transparent with clean horizontal lines, 200 4th Avenue South is a striking example of Sentech’s VetraFin H-Series System in use – an all-glass structural fin system intended for use in horizontal fin applications. Designed by Perkins+Will, this LEED Gold certified, 30-story commercial-use building in the heart of downtown Nashville’s SoBro district is a Music City landmark. Coming alive at dusk with dynamic LED illumination, the building is the quintessential companion to the city’s thriving nightlife and welcoming atmosphere.

The lobby’s horizontal all-glass fin façade system is organized in a series of distinct planar elements that opens the space up to the street- creating a light-filled, welcoming environment for all.

The space was designed with the workforce in mind- to create a sense of connection, collaboration, and to ensure a memorable experience for visitors. It is home to more than 1,700 Bridgestone teammates and contractors, unifying the company’s key business units, and allowing for improved collaboration and efficiency. Seeking a space that was filled with natural light and collaborative spaces, the design called for an entrance and lobby solution that embodied the spirit of openness and connection to the city. The result is a striking, transparent horizontal all-glass fin façade system that is organized in a series of distinct planar elements that opens the space up to the street, creating a light-filled, welcoming environment for all.
