66 Galen Structural Glass Walls In ProgressWatertown, MA in greater Boston is expanding, and making leaps and strides toward the vibrant and diverse future for its community that the city envisions. Work is currently in progress on 66 Galen, located in the heart of the Watertown submarket in Greater Boston. The area has emerged as a core node for new life-science development, with more than one million square feet under development, led by some of the industry’s most highly respected and active developers. 66 Galen Street a purpose-built life science building with best-in-class design and construction located in the center of the rapidly expanding Watertown Life Science cluster.

Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, 66 Galen will provide over 224,000 SF of new construction by 2023, followed by a planned Phase II campus expansion of up 464,000 SF. The entrance features two Sentech-supplied VetraFin-T structural glass walls, a system which utilizes stainless steel toggles and vertical steel fins at the North and West elevation. The structural glass facades feature low-iron, tempered, insulated glass units at varying heights maxing out at over 22-feet in height.
